Accessibility
We want every corner of this site to feel like a comfortable chair, whoever you are and however you browse. That includes readers using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced motion.
What we aim for
We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. In practice, that means:
- Text and background colors are checked against AA contrast ratios.
- Pages use semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can find their way around.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
- Buttons and links can be reached and used with a keyboard, with visible focus states.
- The site honors your system's reduced motion preference. If you turn animations off in your settings, our animations settle down too.
- Small type and button labels are kept at or above a readable size floor.
Where we are honest about the gaps
This site is handmade and full of playful, animated pieces: a typing letter, drifting polaroids, a slow marquee. We test them, but some combinations of browsers and assistive technology may still trip over something we missed. When that happens, we genuinely want to know.
